Its so damn frustrating ,really even simple things are so overcomplicated .
Ie how the f..k i can give horse stimulant or carrots to my horse ,i have it greyed nvm if i am on horse or on foot,stationary or riding, no way to use em all time greyed .

Yes, controls are bad. Takes 20-30 hours to get used to this inane crap (the designer should be fired and never employed again).
While on horse or standing and facing the horse press Tab and R to open the wheel. Scroll through the Weapons—Your items— Horse item menus. In the last horse menu you will find horse food, meds, stims, clothes etc. Each section has — you guessed it! — submenus you access by pressing either E or Q (to scroll right or left). You can choose a brush too or just press B to brush.

There is another method but then the game would choose the food item for you and I don’t like it.

You can feed your horse and give it a boost with a stimulant at any time, even when galloping but to brush your horse you need to stop.

Yea game have awesome wrold nice graphic not bad story but those controlls can be really so frustrating,also saving system.
I understand they wanted prevent load/save spamm when something goes wrong,but its so bad at times ,especially so control points when game save automatically on quest are really scarce and u need repeat all ,sometime long rides to quest areas.

Alot of stuff will be introduced after chapter 1. Weapons, diff types of fishing, legendary hunting.

i dont talk about game lack stuff i talk controlls are totally unbearable and overcomplicated .

I don't want be spoon feed but ffs here every info nd aid is so scarce ...now im stuck at chapter 2 one mission left for Javier,but its in blackwater county ,nvm wchich way i enter at once i have strong group of bounty hunters on em ,spawning from thin air ...so how the f..k can i even manage to go to mission start area ?
I managed to eliminate one of those groups ,but almost immediately next one spawned wtf ?how its doable?

Yeah, the controls are ass. To get to Javier, you really just need to book it through the hostile zone until you get to the quest marker. You'll be insta-killed by ye olde invisible sniper otherwise, unless you use a mod to disable that. fwiw, lawmen and bounty hunters spawn on upper mid-tier horses that you might consider taking for yourself if you're not keen on Arabians.

I could not for the life of me get used to the keyboard and mouse controls.

Try plugging in a PS5 or XBox controller, the controls are MUCH better.

Don’t worry too much about aiming if you’re not used to dual joysticks, the game’s aim-assist with a controller is basically “auto-aim.” :P

(It automatically locks-on a target’s center of mass, you just need to tilt the joystick up to get head shots.)

Cross the river as close to the yellow marker as you can, follow the beach to the left and go straight to the yellow area, watch your radar and don't get close to the red dots if you see any. You are not expected to fight any patrols here and there should not be any. You probably crossed the river while following the road that's why they spawned.

thx will try ,yes i followed road at first ,then i tried more hidden way thru rocky areas nvm what i do i always get ambushed almost immediately after i cross river.
But i tried to cross far from mission target ,i will try as you suggest closest way thx you.
As for controls its even not about sensitivity or so just sometimes my carbine go under 6 sometimes under 8 (quickslot),when u leave horse u switch to revolvers as main weapons despite u have long weapons on ur back and u got em as main before u left horse...same in other way when u mount horse main weap switch bacvk to revolvers ....crazyness.
There is tons of games where u use many types of weapons and interface and controlsa are way better than here ...
Shame cause i really liek how world is made ,but sometimes i want bite keyboard cause those controls lol

Yeah controls are annoying. It's just a part of this game that you accidentally rob the sheriff when you're just trying to say "Mornin' Partner". Or you go to feed your horse and instead end up punching him in the face.
