What did Guarma add to the story?

It's very forgettable and seemingly doesn't tie in with the rest of the story, does anyone else think this chapter was unnecessary?

it allowed the gang a break by disappearing from the law w/c was hot on their trail for so long and esp after the St. Denis bank job (w/c was a success actually considering the amount of gold they were able to rob). And it worked.

I didn't like Guarma chapter too. Never really understood why a goddman jungle appeared in a western story.

Unironically think it would've been better if they either
A. Switched it up and had the crew go to Mexico, maybe idk the ship is headed fir Blackwater so they pay them off to give them a smaller boat and let them padfle to shore and flee to Mexico from there.
Or B. After Arthur ends up on the ship have it switch to Sadies pov fir a few missions, relocating the group and fighting off O'driscalls maybe surveying John too.

Guarma definitely felt rushed. I flew thru that area cause i wanted out of there asap, lol

It felt rushed because it was just a box on a checklist that had to be fulfilled.
