How do i dump the repeater the game gave me for free?

It is always before my springfield rifle which is only weapon I use and
I want to throw this weapon or sell but I cant

Sell it to a gunsmith, you could also upgrade it. I think it can be placed in your chest or stored on the horse maybe.

The gun smith in valentine does not have option to sell when i mouse right click. only customize or look at the book

You can hide weapons in a chest at your camp.

I did and I was holding the stupid repeater again in a mission.

I had to restart mission all over again with anger to pick proper weapon from horse

Missions do tend to do that, sucks but no way around it that I'm aware of..

Was it the train robbery? They force you to use it on that mission because a rifle was kinda needed and by that point the only rifle the player was guaranteed to have was that repeater so they auto equip it just incase.
