How easy is it to mod?

I'm in chapter 3 and wabting to change things up a bit so i was wondering how easy this game is to mod, basically is it manual install only or can i use the mod manager?
I know you'll say manual is easy but not for me, at best it doesn't work at worst it breaks my game, I'm just dumb ngl.
Also while its my job to look for mods the main two things I'm looking for are :
1. A mod that adds more enemy camps/ambushes to the world
2. A mod that adds some of the online weapons and clothes to story mode (why isn't that a vanilla thing?)

lennys mod loader helps but most mods are just scripts and asi files you drag and drop into the rdr2 directory

as for more enemies im not sure
there are mods/trainers that add a lot from online as well as some stand alone weapons mods like the navy revolver

How stable is the game with mods?
The threat of crashes has me hesitant to install any mods
