Though I have noticed that if I reboot after it crashes I can sometimes play for a while, but usually the map going over my camp is problematic, also it happens very often when I spawn in my camp or enter my camp.
Played to almost level 50 on PS4 when it first came out and had it crash like once a day, but this is ridiculous, I just bought a RTX 3070 to play this and according to the test all my settings should be Ultra and it's just like... why?
Then the handful of times I do get to play for a couple of hours I have modders on spinning UFO horses with burning feet and shooting flamethrower crotches.
Just played 1 hour and the game have closed by himself, without any message
if u r gettin it in story mode i dont really know
If only they would fixed and securised it, i would have been probably the best open world online (for me)
If you wonder why R* don't fix it or get rid of Modders the answer is plain and simple GREED!!!!!! they don't care about there player base, they just care about how many "Shark cards" and "RDO gold" they sell and in many ways the Modders help them in there cause exactly the reason they don't even attempt to stop them. Simple scenario I fell for it in GTAV, You are a newby, Modders kill you and you don't know they are in god- mode, you just think you need a better gun/chopper/tank or whatever how do you get it quick SHARK CARDS!!!!. I have played R* games from the first Max Payne but they will never see a cent from me again.
This issue occurs for MANY reasons and is not only related to modders. Someone here said they crash on their map. My husband and I would crash when using deadeye, depending on our cards as reported by other users. I used to crash during the launch of non-legendary bounty missions. It's not just modders. They have other ways they can crash you, and clearly do not care if you know they're modding.
uh equipped cards, corrupted player data, luck? There's quite a bit of things that can cause it. and I hate to tell you this, but if you're switching lobbies modders don't have a way to do anything to you if they aren't in the same lobby, and when they do crash your game it will be a CTD with no-popup. FFFFF has that name because it's an un-named error.
Will the progress made during these private servers carry over to the real one should you ever desire to switch back? Like, say my friend and I got to level 30 or something, if we deleted the file would our progress be still level 30 in the real servers?
All progress remains. You're still connecting to RDO, just on a shard that your router is specifically 'targeting' basically, as well as others who use the file.
I don't think you're understanding what I'm telling you - FFFFF errors are un-named errors. Just bc you're getting 5 in 10 minutes doesn't mean it's the same thing causing the error every time. Most of the time I see evidence of the crash in my system log - it's not always modders there are tons of other causes for it. Rockstar is a company with the ability to fix it and the lack of will to do so. I'm just making it clear for everyone else that might see this; there isn't a one trick fix-all. I was playing solo lobbies as well and while I'd go from getting the error once every 30 minutes to once an hour, which didn't start happening at all until I returned to the game after 1+ year. It still happens and that doesn't mean it's modders, or your system the game is just coded VERY poorly.
