Can't Import Save?
I got a "skip chapter 1" save off of Nexus and I'm pretty sure I put it in the right place, but when I get into the game, the save doesn't appear. Can anyone help with that?

Save Game Files have to go here:

Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\YourProfileID#

If the ProfileID# folder has yet to be created, first load up the game and on the Story Mode tab, go into Settings and configure this first. Once applied, exit the game.

Save File might be named something else also.
Name it as:
SRDR30000

Configure it how? and where? Thank you for the response

By configure I mean to setup your game settings, such as Graphics and such. Then apply changes and exit the game so the proper Folders + Files gets created in that Documents structure.

I'm not sure if I've done something wrong, but this didn't work. I have 3 save folders inside the save file location and changed graphic settings, saving and exiting & starting up again. The saves don't appear, only auto-save for "Outlaws from the West" appear.
I appreciate you trying to help, thank you.

Okay, I pasted the files into the folder that contained the autosave and they showed up. Not totally sure how this all works

If you have any autosave, you must delete this so that selecting "Start" for story mode loads up the most recent manual save file such as the one you downloaded.

Inside this folder...

Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\YourProfileID#

Any sub folders will be ignored as the game does not make any further folders here, only files.

The story mode save files are named
SRDR30000
SRDR30001
And so on. With the one ending in 15 being the Autosave slot.

If you have your own saved files you can backup those into another folder for now so you can make use of the one you downloaded.
