How do I lasso-drag someone?
I’m trying to accomplish the Horseman 4 challenge, and while I can toss a rope onto someone, for whatever reason it won’t stay on them. How, exactly, do I keep the rope around them and drag them with my horse? I’m using mouse and keyboard.

hold right mouse button, that twirls the lariat, left mouse button to make a strike.

from there, keep holding right mouse button, and dont press the 'release' prompt, or that lets him go.

ride off with your horse, if you dont keep him moving, he can wiggle free and start shooting at you. if you're not careful, he'll try to hogtie you with your own rope.

if you're on foot, you won't be able to drag without him getting free, rockstar seems to think that is an easy thing that happens.

as a lariat thrower, i've never seen anyone get their ankles free when i've roped them.

also, rockstar doesn't use the saddle horn when you're roping. that's what its there for, you're supposed to give a couple wraps around the saddle horn. its just an animation nitpick i guess. iirc john marston did that in rdr1, but for some reason arthur thinks his biceps are huge and just holds it.

choose the lasso - RMB pressed and hold -> Aim - LMB Pressed - lasso goes flying - You can let go of RMB now and click LMB several times to shroten the rope optionally. Then you drag him for miles.
