Probably just more money $$$. Most games that offer these various versions can be upgraded, however any special items noted may not be included if you add on later.

Yes there is a mod that lets you change your save file. With it you can unlock all content even day one stuff.

Cheapest I've seen the ultimate edition go is under 45€ as of today. How much savings you are looking to have?

I'm talking about buying the standard $60 today then maybe down the line buy the Ultimate edition without having to spend $100 for it, I'm asking if there is a way to upgrade. I'm not asking for a discount.

So what's the problem here, currency conversion? 45€ is about 49$.

Just move on cause you're obviously not getting it. I didn't say anything about currency conversion or ask for a discount.

The question was if I buy the Standard version for $60 can I upgrade it to the Ultimate Edition at a later date without having to spend $100 for it.

I'm just asking why you are being so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stubborn that you would rather pay 60$ for standard edition than 49$ ultimate. Is this some kind of trick I'm not getting, you said you don't wan't to overpay but here you argue for overpaying. The ultimate edition is available as of today for under 48$.

I'm guessing you don't know at all how to buy games online and you just shop at steam?

You can NOT upgrade.

Each edition currently is a separate entity on Rockstar's end.

So the best course of action is to wait for a sale where the ultimate edition has a bigger rebate than the standard, and you can basically get the for the same price.

You never answered OP's original, instead just put forward your assumptions.

It was never about the price or discounts at any point of time, just if it can be upgraded.

OP just mentioned the undiscounted base price of $60 as an example, but you decided to jump to conclusions, presenting your ideas of what OP could and should do, instead of actually understanding and answering the question.

In addition to that, AFAIK, once you've purchased one edition, you have to remove it from your Steam account, as it's still somehow counted the same.

LOL you're wrong. OP said he didn't wan't to spent 100$ dollars along the way which implies he's looking for savings. I'm just wondering why you would be so stupid that you wouldn't wan't to buy ultimate edition for cheaper price than the standard edition of which you were already willing to pay more. Just doesn't make sense to me, illogical, paradoxical.

I'm not talking about sale prices here, no discounts, these are actual shop prices and they are going down each day. But who am I to teach you people, I just know how to buy games cheap, since I'm poor.

You guys pay and shop as you like, I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ off from this thread as it is becoming increasingly more idiotic.

You never answered the original question from the title of this thread.

OP only mentioned those exemplatory prices further down the thread, after several wrong answers.

Answer of this thread is:
You can NOT upgrade.

Completely regardless at what price you buy it, and awesome you think your online purchase abilities are.

No I didn't. I said CAN I UPGRADE WITHOUT SPENDING ANOTHER $100 he's not the dense one you are. As in can I upgrade from standard which is $60 to the Ultimate which is $100 without spending that extra $100 after I already spent $60. This really isn't hard to understand. The thread isn't idiotic you are.

And yes I know you can find it cheaper elsewhere, but that wasn't the question.

Also thanks for the info. A simple yes or no question turned into me trying to explain a simple question to a wall.
