Skipping Skinning Animations?

Is it possible?

Throw one on your horse and drag the other carcass with your lasso. It won't lose quality if you drag it behind your horse for some reason. It's a fast way to get two as fast as possible before the hunting wagon is available.

It sadly does not. However, most camps should be around a mildly generous supply of animals. You just need to look about. Or look away. This game rezzes items inworld out of your field of vision, so sometimes it's best to literally back into a corner and keep looking into your tent or a corner for a moment and let the area around you repopulate.

Now I just need to find a damn badger. Found them early on, before I discovered pelt qualities. But now that I need them for satchel crafting, they just don't seem to exist. Been looking for 3 days now (Real days, not in game....)

I personally enjoy the skinning as long as the animals aren't cute.

there is a trick for not getting the skin animation, it involved a very difficould thing, shoot and kill the animal in a odd pos. i mean i noticed when i kill something and it die and lays on the side of wall, slope, tree i don't get the animation and pick up the skin instantly, or at the edge of the water i get this too... so there is your trick kill them in a off pos =D

edit: by edge of water i mean the spot right before you start swiming, as long as you can stand in water it does not work! water has to be high up your character above waste at-least.

I think it wasn't mentioned yet, but if your horse is very close to the carcass, the skinning animation is mostly skipped.

true, but i did not mentioned this because there is a risk that the horse ruins the skin, horse steps on it, you lose atleast one star (sometimes even two stars, but then again why would you skin a 3 star animal)
