Moonshiner story missions
Is it just me or do the Moonshiner story missions seem tough for one player? They’re usually you taking on a ton of enemies, coming from all sides, in many many waves? I’m wondering if they were meant to be done as Posses only. I’ve done a few but they’ve taken all I have to survive them.

its not a problem, its just there harder then all the others you have to do! all others you run with closed eye's sort of speak, moonshine mission actually, you need to be playing ^^ all missions should be like that imo.

I didn't even think they were harder. They seemed just like any other mission.

There are a lot more npcs you got to deal with so if you have poor tactics, poor choice of ability cards and rush in too soon against sheer numbers, the player is gonna have a harder time, lol

You are speaking for yourself. I personally didn't find them any harder than any other missions. Even with more NPCs they weren't hard.

It does seem slightly more difficult to get the headshots, and they definitely seem to be a bit more accurate than most other npcs in missions and free roam. It doesn't help that they set you up with little cover and about 60 enemies in groups of five or six.

It is a slog to get through the enemies and most people can handle it, but it isn't exactly great as a mission.

I did the one where you rescue the dude from the wagon and failed 3 or 4 times with M&K found it impossibly hard, switched over to controller for the aim assist etc and did it first time although it was still difficult. Did the next one where you blow up the stills first time too with controller. Wish M&K was more viable tbh

I did them all solo. But ye I think they’re harder.

And?

I just finished the mission with the Lem's release. Six convoy bodyguards and some forty cavalry. Really?
It's not even hard, just stupid and unrealistic. Like, unfortunately, quite a few missions in RDR compared to real events in the Wild West :/

I did them all solo. The main problems with the moonshiner-related missions in general is that some of them require that you be stealthy for full rewards (and the game's stealth sucks, making that a pain) and that the revenue men do a lot more damage than most enemies. If you're fighting revenue men, you should probably just take a health potion up front so that you have the yellow ring around your health and may want to pop them whenever that yellow ring goes away. If you actually take them head on without boosting your health, they can kill you pretty quickly. A posse would help you deal with them faster, but it really wouldn't solve the problem that they can kill you much more easily than most enemies can. They're not as tough as other player's are, but they can kill you in only a few hits and once in a while even headshot you, which pretty much no other NPCs do.
