Chapter one wagon wheel bug
On the way to Valentine the wheel on the wagon falls off. Game will not allow me to get off the wagon to fix it or even pause the game. Have to close the game with task manager. Anyone else had this problem?

When I first played the game, it got stuck there too. I am using Linux so it was playing through Proton and has improved much in capability and so forth since then. But I recall that was the first place I had any difficulty with the game.

I reduced both the resolution and overall graphics settings, and it played through it successfully after that, although I remember it still slowing down there. The one other place that I had the same difficulty was later at the game at a pig farm where dynamite was involved. I don't want to say any more about it for spoilers, but I did the same thing and it worked.

I had this issue also found out it was a possibly a cutscene or refresh rate bug if you have more than 144 hz reduce it to 144/120/60 hz and then just skip the cutscenes for the wheel shenanigans and should have a wheel back on the wagon and be able to continue

In-Game VSync is supposed to solve those kinds of issues. Even Rockstar says for this game, leave that on if you are having issues during or after cut-scenes.

Basically they aren't sync'ed correctly on many systems if you have VSync Off.

I have used GSync + VSync the entire time and never had such an issue like that. This shouldn't hurt your game world performance. The point of the VSync is to cap the cut-scenes, not the whole game.

So basically for RDR2, leaving the in-game VSync and Triple Buffering enabled is a must. You can always try VSync off and see if you experience issues, but if you do turn that off, leave the in-game triple buffering enabled or it bugs the entire game FPS.
