Is the Ultimate Version worth it?
I'm not too interested in online. I just wanna play for the single player. Am I missing out on anything if I get the base game?

Absolutely.

You miss a few 'early' weapons (and maybe a free $72 Varmint Rifle). There could also be an unremarkable horse you can have early, or free (probably for Online).

The biggest Story Mode inclusion is a Crap Bank Robbery with Charles for a whopping $137.50 payout. if you pooped - you'd be wiping your ass with $100 bills by the time you do that Bank Robbery with Charles, but hangin' out with Charles, even for a Crap Bank Robbery is pretty cool, 'cause Charles is pretty cool.

I'd say on the one hand don't worry about it and on the other hand if you have the money, go for it. You wouldn't want that Bank Robbery Haunting you for 500 hours in your first playthrough - wondering what life would be like if you could have done it.

Got $10? - go for it
Rather keep that $10? - don't worry about it:

No. The only actual content you get with cashgrab edition is short extra mission that you could just watch on youtube.

More than likely, the base game will give a large amount of enjoyment. The more expensive option will make a very small but enjoyable addition.

Originally, I bought the base game. Then, a year later, after losing my password and sign-in, I bought the ultimate, and i'm glad I did.

Those short extra missions made me get the ultimate edition. I have to have all SP content. Thanks.

I know., I know... I am strange like that. Any type of small mission I have to play.
If it was skins or extra money, etc. I wouldn't bother.

No. Not at all. For five bucks on sale or something? Yeah sure why not.

Online... My buddies were not able to keep up with how fast my horse was compared to the starting junk. I think many forget that part. So if playing with established friends, food for thought. The horse saves a lot of time in itself. Don't have to keep having to stop for stamina.

Yea, Scrawny Nag is a ride, but not really a horse. However, if you do the required first mission you do get a real horse that works pretty good if you feed it occasionally.

i have ultimate. i would have have been just as happy with standard.
i play rdo more than i play rdr2.
i have about 150 hour rdr2, 950 hour rd0.
so for its its a 1k+ hour game.
which automatically just makes it worth it.
cause less than 5% of my game catalog can get me further than 1k hours.

Is it worth it? Well, that depends on many variables. For me, it was absolutely worth it. But what I do and what others do is often different. I bought the standard version, then about a year later bought the ultimate. All before discounts, for me, whether a game is worth $100.00 or $30.00 isn't a consideration for a game that is as deep as RDR2. But as always, to each their own.
