(Sure am glad I kept that Gold - my first instinct about that Woman was correct - she's a Looney)
but
i can offer this sage worthy advise, alternate naturalist and trader days , simply put,, dont hunt on the days you do naturalist stuff, you have to murder a lot of our furry friends before Miss Harriet goes full PETA, also if attacked by wolves you dont have to kill them to drive them off, shooting towards them does work
naturalist is the toughest role to do because of all the in game behavior restrictions and it pays so poorly,
to do it you really have to want to
...and what's the payoff for those Legendary Pelts?
Animal Head Hats?
...and once more for clarity:
Once you join The Team - you're joined at the hip for life?
Like there's no getting away from that crazy Koot - Ever?
(Yea, I'm a lot happier not being one of Harriet's Boys)
I'm still not sure why RDO decided to not make a single likable NPC. It's so strange to go from storymode, which has lots of interesting NPCs that are fun to talk with, to RDO, which is all lunatic anachronistic cartoon characters.
what do you mean? her legendary missions? im almost lvl 5. So what, do the legendary mission but kill the animal in the end instead of sedating it? I'm confused
When I get to Harriet I also select an Emote and give out a happy greeting. It helps perk her up a bit.
As long as your Camp has at least 25% or so of Donated Goods and you go on Supply Runs; then he can continue to output as a means of getting a full wagon stocked and ready. Do not let a fully stocked wagon sit too many days. It might empty on you one day. I've had a happen a few times. Same goes for Moonshine ready to ship. If you ignore that for a few days it will reset it all.
If you really want to kill less but impact that bar for donated goods to your camp's table; hunt and donate anything Legendary. Once you've unlocked everything from Gus by doing what he needs, there is no reason to keep off-loading all the Legendary stuff to him, give towards your camp instead.
If a Legendary Animal can be picked up; then it's always possible to Sample + Revive + Kill + Skin it. All in the same go. The exploit for this is once you put the carcass on your Horse. Right click the Horse and select Flee. Wait til the horse de-spawns completely. Then call it back. Now remove the carcass and put on ground and then skin it. Or if you have Wilderness Camp, spawn one of those and then just Fast Travel to a town that has a butcher. Once you get there you can remove carcass from horse and skin it.
Take the skinned carcass to Butcher. Take the Pelt or whatever the item is you get off the animal, either to Gus (if have not already) or to your Camps Table as a Donation.
No, donate to cripps. I think a legendary cougar skin is 40 mats? Someone throw the #'s if they have them.
Trust me - I won't be joining Team Freak-Fest.
