Bought Gold Bars, Not Showing Up In Game.

I bought gold bars, for $19.99 for Red Dead Online.
Nothing is showing up in game.
I tried looking at the money icon.
Tapping 'alt'..etc.
Restarting the game and Steam, nothing.
Any ideas?

it probably has to clear first, the transaction hasnt completed yet, meaning Rock Star hasnt actually received the money yet, try logging out and logging back in , maybe wait an hour or so

If you bought gold bars through steam, it could take a while. Without steam's 2 step-verification I think it could take 2 weeks, but I could be wrong. My friend who does have verification got it in 2 minutes.
But yeah it takes time for the transaction to go through regardless.

Ok, this is what happened.
I bought Red Dead 2 from the Rockstar website including the Rockstar launcher.
I bought Red Dead 2 ONLINE from Steam.
I went to the Rockstar website to buy the gold bars for Red Dead Online.
They didn't show up in Red Dead 2 Online.
But checking the Red Dead 2 solo game as you suggested I am now the proud owner of $150,000 dollars worth of Gold Bars.
The Problem is, I don't need them in the solo player version, I need them in the Online game.
Any ideas?

contact rock start support via their social club website , they can probably fix it in a matter of minutes, but i have to wonder why you would buy the online separate when you already own it via rdr2

In GTA V (when you buy shark cards) it takes up to 72 hours.

I thought the Online version was a different version so I got it through Steam.

I got a reply from Rockstar after filling out a ticket.
They responded and said the gold bars had been added to my account.
They said I should see them when I log back in.
I did so and no gold bars.
I checked satchel, lock box, train station/mail..nothing.
I wrote back telling them there is no gold bars.
I am waiting for a replay.
Frankly, nothing should be this complicated in a game.
Getting tired of messing with it.
If this is not resolved I am calling my bank and see if I can get a refund.

You don't carry Gold Bars at all.
They show up in the Upper Right when you tap Alt.
Right next to your Money and Tokens.

Gold Bars are 'Currency' when buying certain Online things. Gold isn't actually carried. The only Gold you carry are what's in Jewelry or teeth, for instance. Earned or Purchased Gold simply goes in your 'Account'.

I'm aware of that.
The bars do not show in currency or anywhere when I tap 'alt'.
They are not there.
I sent another ticket.
Been trying to correct this with Rockstar for almost a full day.
Don't mean to sound disenchanted, but this is starting to be more work than play.

Just an update:
Got a message from Rockstar.
Said gold bars was in inventory.
The gold bars show in single player, but nothing in the ONLINE version.
Wrote another message to try to correct this.
Also for some reason Rockstar not only put the gold bars in the wrong version (single player), but credited me $150,000 dollars.
Don't have a clue where that came from.
The saga continues.

it's not in the wrong version , it's in your rockstar account that has the non steam online game , just refind or if it's too late to refund use the rock star , like i said before , it's a red flag having 2 online , in theory you would have to have a separate rock star account of the secondary steam version to work ,
