Actually there is sound in the menu...
However I fixed my issue for anyone that sees this and is having this same issue...
For some reason RDR2 seems to be very picky about where its audio comes from.
My PC automatically set my Arctis Pro Wireless (CHAT) to the default audio device, and basically disabled my Arctis Pro Wireless (Game).
Now this wasn't a problem with anything else, I just had my chatmix set all the way to chat, and Youtube, games, discord chat all worked fine. Full use of the headphones and the microphone.
HOWEVER, RDR2 didn't like this. So here is what I had to do to fix it:
1. In the bottom right of the windows taskbar right click on the audio menu (the speaker) and select open sound settings.
2. On the right hand side click on "Sound control panel"
3. In the sound control panel menu locate "Arctis Pro Wireless Chat" right click and set it as the "Default Communication Device"
4. Now locate "Arctis Pro Wireless Game" right click and set it as the "Default Device"
5. Now navigate to your heaphone receivers "Chatmix" menu and make sure the arrow is centered between Game and Chat.
6. Launch RDR2
7. Navigate to the In-game settings menu and make certain you have selected the proper input/output devices.
This should solve the issue.
