not receiving mail (Single Player)

Hi all.

I am playing through the story mode and I was wondering if there is a known bug with the mail in the game? Found my first dino bone and sent a mail with the location, but 4 days after I have still not gotten a mail back with payment. If it is a bug, is there anything I can do to fix it or is it just gg with that quest? :)

Pretty sure you get the $ instantly after sending the mail through. Just like you do with sending off completely trading card sets.

There is no $$ for Dino Bones - that I can see.

Yea been so long I couldn't remember off-hand. Here are the details for the Dinosaur Bones...


When you complete the assignment and find all 30 Dinosaur Bones, Deborah will send you a letter. Collect it at a post office and read it to obtain an invitation to her ranch at Firwood Rise in Cumberland Forest. Travel there and enter the barn to meet her and receive your final reward: the Jawbone Knife.


Unless you just like doing all side quests; this quest is pointless.

Unless you just like doing all side quests; this quest is pointless.

It's required for 100% - and the Quartz Chunk (and Silver Chain Bracelet) is required to Craft the Bear Claw Talisman.

But yea - lots of work for 'almost' nuthin'.

Note:
If you mod the game so Arthur can do it all - he does get to meet the Crazy Dino Lady and complete the quest. Unlike Legendary Fish and Hunting Requests - Arthur can't receive the final Invitation and John has to complete them.

lol - it always happens to me too.

The info at the Post Office goes by so fast - who can read that?<---that's what I thought had happened - been there, done that, have the Autographed T-Shirt.

Note:
DO NOT sell the Silver Chain Bracelet.
DO every 'save the lady' encounter - they might give you one.
If you're a Train Robber - hope the upper class ladies give you one, when you 'ask nicely' for it (while aiming a weapon at them).
When you're 'shopping' for Auto-Shotties - check the drawers - not the old lady's
drawers<---you actually get two shots at that one (if you leave the old lady's drawers intact by not killing her).
Last Chance Cafe - you might get one when you're forced by Dutch to rob some ladies at a Trolley Depot.

Haha well you are right, thou I do remember on my first playthrough some years ago that I did had a problem sending 1 of the legendary fish, is it something you have tryed?

The only issue I have had with Legendary Fish is trying to catch the one I already caught and mailed. One always seems to not get marked on the map - and that's the one I fish for relentlessly - until I look at the list... dooop.

Yes that was actully the problem I had, one fish allways seems to be on the map with no X on it even thou I had cought it.

Happens every time - for some reason.

I'm on my 4th playthrough and this time when the submarine didn't appear in Eagle Eye, or when the Special Lure hit the water - I checked the list...:
Why couldn't I remember I caught that one already?

There's a break in a DNA chain somewhere...lol
