Can I avoid saving Micah?

I went to Strawberry and broke Micah out of jail and we proceeded to kill half the town, which is not at all how I want to play my character. Can I just go back to a saved game and let Micah rot in jail?

if you want to finish the story one day , you cant . micah is a part of the storyline.

You can go pretty long thou without doing this mission. I saved him just before we went to the second hideout.

You can "kill" him after visit him in his camp with dynamite. Anyway, if you arrive at the Van Der Linde camp he's damned alive. But you can get his weapon if you kill him in his camp earlier afaik.
