Can't get rifle off of horse.

Bought the Ultimate Edition last night and early in the game I am prompted to take my rifle off of the horse. Only my revolver and shotgun are available, even though the rifle is clearly on the horse and was given to me in the previous cut scene. I cannot progress in the game without it. Thanks in advance!

When I searched discussions on "rifle horse" there were quite a few possible options.

Tap Tab., like it says on the pop up clue.

Got no popup clue, but for what it's worth to anyone else who encounters this, you must first select a long gun holster, before the weapon will show in inventory. Solved.

The Shotgun and Pistol are in the top weapon slot of the "weapon wheel"

There are two other firearm slots in the "weapon wheel", at the bottom and left location, that are for long guns (repeating rifles, hunting rifles, & sniper rifles)
