(HELP) stuck on loading screen and then crash

Hello,

I have been playing this game fine for about 140 hours. Last played around last week. I decided to open the game today but it stuck on loading screen with music (story mode).

Here are the steps i have done:
1. Restart PC
2. Verify game cache
3. Turing on-off v-sync and triple buffering
4. Updating my graphics driver and windows version

All resulted nothing. Then i decided to wait it out. After around 10 mins stuck on loading, the game just crashed into the desktop.

Any ideas?

Try reinstalling the game, it might be a corrupt install.

Switch from DX12 to Vulcan - or vice versa.
Whatever it's crashing on - pick the other one.

Just had to reinstall the game and launchers and can get it to play but only for ah hour and it crashes. Freeze crashes with with a browser running in the background so no clue what it is. Capping how much memory it uses stops the memory leak crash but it dies anyways. Nice.

If you mod singleplayer you need to either remove or update your version.dll file.
