Question for 2nd playthrough...
I have a few questions before starting my 2nd playthrough.

1. When I start a new game, will I lose my current game save and timeline point? (Will I be able to go back to this savegame after)
2. Does starting a new game reset all of the challenges, gold bars and discoveries to zero?
3. Is the story with all of the missions and challenges able to be completed using the Rampage mod?

Almost 300 hours in and I still have chapter 6 and remaining epilogues to go. When I play through on my 2nd run, I'll have an idea of what to expect and hope to double the amount of hours I've played so far. You can get so lost in this game... It's great!!

Yes you will lose the saves, back em up then they can be resued by backup new and replace with original. The saves are in a folder like 9BBCC69F, backup that entire folder. located here
C:\Users\User Name \Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Profiles\9BBCC69F

For SP there are like 15+ save slots. I have multiple play throughs saved. I usually use 3 slots for the game i am actively playing in case of corruption etc. Dont rely only on the cloud, manually save your game frequently.

Obviously if you start from scratch everything is reset.

Ok, so far that's good to know. I'm looking forward to the 2nd run. Something happened with my Catfish Jackson mission. I didn't know about shooting next to the dude under the bed to get him to come out... instead I shot him. So, he couldn't tell me about the money stash and I couldn't replay it so I lost out!

Another good reason to make sure you have manual saves, so you can go back after a mistake.

You'll get half as much time on your second playthrough and may not even finish it but you're right, you can get really lost in the game. You're a better player now; you'll go straight to the thing you had to find before, you won't buy stuff you don't need. You won't waste your time on unnecessary garbage. You're a gunslinger now. Be it.

This side mission is really superficial though. Nothing important that you lost by shooting him.

Probably. I guess it'll be more relaxing and not so frantic... I hope! LOL

Yeah, but the OCD in me won't let it go! LOL I'm gonna spoil the heck out of my second play-through and read a lot of mission and side-mission walkthroughs.

Any answer as to the Rampage question? I downloaded it and got it working. I tested out some things and will probably use it for some select things like fast travel across long distances to avoid the long loading cut scenes.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
