Does This Require Rockstar Account to Play on Console?

Just requested a refund on this game because I don't want to download another bloated launcher and create yet another account just to play one game.

If I were to buy it on PS or Xbox would it still require creating an account with Rockstar or would it just use the one I already have with the respective console brands?

You can do 400 hours in one playthrough and not even scratch the surface... and you can't play it 'cause you have Launcher Paranoia.

Nope, there's no Rockstar launcher on the console version. It just launches straight into the game like any other console game.

Just to defend the OP...you can't play the offline single player because of the rockstar launcher if you have no internet access. If they ever shutdown their launcher you lose access to the singleplayer....just let that sink in.

Yes, R* will probably shut down their launcher and lock out 48 Million Players - 'cause it's better for R*. Makes sense to me.

When my internet goes out - Steam and the launcher go into Offline Mode, but Steam kinda requires internet - No Steam - No Steam forums.
