How to change verification email - my verification code is being sent an unknown email address
I have just installed RDR2 but when I go to verify my purchase through Steam it (being the RDR2 launcher) tells me that it has sent a verification code to some random email that I don't recognise. Does anyone know where I can change this email address? Without being able to change it I can't verify my purchase and so I can go no further. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you had other r* game activated before. Like gtav and such. If yes, then the email gonna be the one you've used to make sc account back then.

I suspect you are right. The problem is I have no idea what that account is so I think I'm stuck. I might just get a refund and be done with it. Cheers.

That may open up in your 'other account' - we hope.
If so - find out what Account it is.

If you buy the game from Steam, load the game in Steam, Play the Game From Steam - the launcher should install automatically and Steam will log you in to the account you have associated with Steam (like to play GTA5 - if you bought it from Steam).

Click the link - what happened?

Just contact R* support and you can recover it no problem..

All good. Steam refunded my purchase straight away which was pretty quick service. I'll give Rockstar a miss. Thanks all for your help.

You say that now. If you ever get to play it later you'll regret that decision.

I'm in my 70s, been playing computer games since "Pong" - have played hundreds and have NEVER played one like this.

If R* required me putting one foot in a bucket of horse pee to play - totally worth it.
Sock off - in the pee - let's go....lol
