Dog companion is a bit fun.
They say that the devil is in the detail. RDR II has plenty of that.
After 800 odd hours of play I just this afternoon started chapter four.
With a time mod you can play this (I don't want to call it a game) 19th century cowboy simulation in real time.
It's like the film Westworld in many ways.
If retired with nothing better to do you can almost plan your day around it.
For example, I can go to St Denis and play poker for three real life hours. I can then spend a few real life hours looking into a treasure map I've found, and I have many treasure maps.
Then I might spend a few real life hours hunting a particular animal like a moose. Even now after 800 odd hours with intensive hunting I've still never seen a three star moose yet alone killed one.
I wouldn't have it any other way
And then of course there's the story.
What a game!
I'm yet to try online.
Get it, try it, you'll enjoy it very mightily.
All of those things are present in the Xbox/PlayStation version. The only differences are improved visuals and higher frame rate but it's still very playable on last gen consoles.
Nope, as someone who bought the PS4 version about a week after it launched and completed it in about 2 weeks I'd say there's nothing "new" about the PC version. It just looks better (but not miles better) on a beefy PC and has a higher frame rate.
Worth it like I want to play this, Yes.
Worth it to play with the dirty, double crossing, no good for nothing, bushwhacking sidewinders, cheatin varmints? No.

Really?
"Console Version"... has none of this:

I enlightened someone else earlier, so... I didn't have to re-type all that (but I did include the link above - that apparently no one bothered to visit).
wow 800 hrs for 3 chapters, great going. I too use a time mod and several other "survival mods" to match and love to just wonder around the land - I'm too on chapter 4 with about 250 hrs.
So I guess we know how to play these games properly.
