What Is The Best Saddle?

Asking because I can't check the stats on the ones the trapper can craft, just the ones at the stables, so I have no idea where to get the best one.

Superior in EVERY CONCIEVABLE WAY.

It does require hunting - something many don't have time or patience for because you need Perfect Pelts from sometimes Very Dangerous Animals. I wouldn't exactly call a Gator a Very Dangerous Animal - unless you step in it's mouth - or your Arabian tosses you in like a Western Carnival Game.

Apply Cover Scent.
Approach at Blue Arrow
Put standard predator bait in Red Circle (once you check to see if Panther is in his office - Red Diamond).
If you need to Study Said Panther you can do so when he stands at the bait for a moment (if you're wearing Cover Scent) waiting patiently for a Regular Arrow to arrive in his head.

The Fen Panther can basically be dialed up, on demand - as many times as you need him. He's very accommodating and will eat you in a moment if he can smell you, but if you're crouched on any of those Rocks at the intersection (the tallest one) you can bring a Mariachi Band with you - 'cause he can't put The Bite on you (kinda takes the fun and excitement out of it tho).

I'm wearing Cover Scent AND on the Tallest Rock. I've been eaten enough times to give the thing The Respect it deserves....lol

It is easier to find a panther on a horse, she will throw you to her and while she is doing a maneuver, you shoot her in the paw with a poisoned arrow, she runs away and falls, there you can study and kill.

A Panther saddle is only needed at the beginning, when you have 4 horses, it is better and more efficient to use the Vaquero saddle since it has more percent of the reduced depletion of the horse's health.

Yeah stamina regen rate is irrelevant. Your horse only regens it when it's standing or running slowly. And once you are bonded, you can refill stamina with G making it completely useless.

Uhhhhh..... I pack my horse so full of Horse Meal it's coming out his ass (literally). There is NO TIME that all his cores aren't Gold (and I don't need to care about how fast he recovers from being starved and driven to exhaustion by the Mensa Team Member riding him), but even with your Grade School Logic - The Panther Trail Saddle is still the best Saddle in the Game, Pal.

Neither my Dark Bay or Chestnut Turks will leave camp or stable without one. I trust my horse to make the right decision - every time. For that, he gets Power Treats - and nothing else (maybe that's why we laugh at an 8-Pack of Wolves - he's never dumped me into the middle of any number of them - in 3000 hours, but an Arabian tossed me once when a Robin flew by):

Actually, he does get Carrots. His Cores are Gold so much sometimes he gets underweight, so when he gets a Horse Meal, he gets a Carrot as well, maybe two and maybe another one when we've got 8 Dead Wolves at our feet or the 4 we left alive are chasing us when we got outta there. Depends on if we gotta be somewhere - or are full of Big Game.

All the Trapper Saddles are superior and are so close it hardly matters, but technically The Panther Trail is at the top of the heap. All my horses get different Trapper Saddles - which ever one looks best on them. The Dark Bay and the Panther Trail go together like (Chocolate) Cake and (Vanilla) Ice Cream.
