ReShade Broken on last patch?
Is it just me or did this last patch break ReShade? I've downloaded the new version and reinstalled it several times, but it won't pull up the screen or work at all.

Seeing as new graphic options were added, and lots of performance/graphic tweaks were added I'd say it's toast for now. Better off using Nvidia Overlay filters, they do almost the same thing Alt+F3.

Thanks. I won't play the game. That horrible brown haze they have over the screen completely destroys this game, imo. I only use ReShade to take it off to actually make the game look good.

Alt+F3 does nothing for me. < I had to turn this on, I also had to restart the game afterwards. Thanks!

EDIT: Ok, I used the Nvidia Overlay and selected "Detail" it seems to be pretty well on taking off that nasty brown haze. So, this will work for now - thanks again.

Reshade is working for me after the last patch. Version 5.3.0 (didn't try the new 5.4.0)
Enferno Sep 12, 2022 @ 7:30pm
Ok, so I downloaded 5.3.0 / 5.4.0 / 5.4.1 and uninstalled them, then reinstalled them and none of them work.

I had a older version of ReShade before this patch and I never once had any problems with ReShade of any version until this latest RDR2 patch.

So, if your ReShade is working on 5.3.0 then you didn't update Red Dead with this latest patch and I highly suggest that if you want to keep using ReShade then don't update it until this is fixed. At the rate that Rockstar works towards doing anything with Red Dead, I'd say you'll be 80 before they fix it.

ok .. i can't force you to believe me, but i am currently using the 5.4.1 version of Reshade with RDR2 fully patched with the last version (1491.16 singleplayer) with no problems...

Hmm, Ok. Any suggestions if I've downloaded and used "Modify" on the latest version of ReShade and then uninstalled / reinstalled versions 5.3.0, 5.4.0 and 5.4.1? ... Perhaps have to uninstalled the entire game and reinstall it?

Could it actually be the file that I am using? I.E. I use a different .ini file that I've used for years without any updates on it, but I never had any problems before this patch with it.

Whenever I say that ReShade doesn't work, it won't even pull up or show where it's loading once the game is launched.

I don't know. I just updated Reshade on the previous versions, with the same ini files. I doubt that reinstalling the full game would fix it, but if you have a very fast internet (not like me) you can try.
The only idea i could have is if you install the DX11 version of Reshade when using The Vulkan API.
Enferno Sep 14, 2022 @ 4:20am
Ok, I have my setting: Graphics API: Directx 12.

When I install ReShade selecting Directx 10/11/12 it doesn't seem to work, but when I choose to install ReShade selecting Vulkan it works - Pressing "Home" pulls up ReShade and it shows the line at the top when launching the game.

This is wierd because I thought I installed it to the Directx 10/11/12 settings before and it worked.
