Is RDR 2 Asi Loader safe to play with?

Should I be offline in Steam to play with RDR 2 Asi Loader 0.2.2 ? Will achievement progress still count? I don't want to run it in online mode only campaign...
I want to mod a game a bit before my first playthrough and some mods require trainer installation but is Steam gonna banhammer me?

In story mode mods are allowed by R*. Valve doesn't care at all.

You'll need this when all that crap you can't wait to run - breaks the game in so many places you won't have a game any more - it'll be a miracle if it even starts:

When you need to get back to a game that loads - delete anything that's not in that snapshot and verify game files.
