Castor Ridge quest bugged

For some reason in chapter 2 the house is completed even though it says I have to bring a log wagon there.

but it keeps telling me to go put the wagon on the corn field even has an event there.
As far as I remember playing on the ps4 I could still do it in chapter 4

Well, it's bugged then.
After the house is built and there are people living it - the Mission is OVER.

What happens when you deliver the wagon?
Ever tried that?

Of the 3 times I started that quest, I only finished it once - when I checked on it every other day until I got my money back. <---didn't mess around with a week long trek and added quest to deliver a wagon of lumber I have to get from 'HellandBeyond' - I just gave the dood the money - I am rich 10 minutes after my feet hit the ground at Horseshoe - what do I care?

I've tried going in but the location where its marked is a field of cornfield with a wooden fence around it so I can't put the wagon in that spot.

Yea - it's over.

When you start the mission and pick the wagon delivery - you beat feet to the wagon and get it delivered. Then you check on it every other day until you get your money.

You can't start it - then do something else for 2 or 3 Chapters. The clock is ticking.

Yeah I just always pay him cash and even then if you don't go back in time he will be gone and a new family will move in. I don't know what the timing is for these missions, House, Lumber, and Train, but if you are gone too long they progress without you.

I think the mission is 'designed' to be the first thing you do at Horseshoe. Ya kinda gotta live over there for a while what with the gunfights, the construction and the getting paid - or trying to.

Truthfully?
When I handed over that $100? - I marked it down as 'A Donation'.
I think you get an honor bell - and that was good enough for me.
Payback - is a bonus - unexpected...

Yeah I think to do the lumber you have to work the lumber camp quests first, or just get really lucky to find a lumber wagon. I tried it a couple times and never made it work so I quit trying. On all three once you start it is best to check back after a couple days or you might miss something. Unfortunately early game with the camp and satchel upgrades and missions everywhere it is super easy to get sidetracked even when you know better.
