Impossible to get iguana pelts as Arthur?

Is it not possible to get a perfect iguana pelts in Guarma? I'm asking this because I was hoping to craft a trapper item only to learn you need a varmint rifle for the iguana. Is there no way to kill an iguana without harming the pelt without using a varmint rifle or is it just impossible?

There's islands just west of Rhodes that have Iguanas. Also, a tricone hat on a shipwreck. Get a boat.

Arthur can buy a Varmint Rifle (it's my first firearm purchase - how 'bout you?) and Iguana are thick on the middle island off Clemens Point just beyond the Legendary Bluegill. <---a good horse can swim the short hop - a good boat will also work.

Varmint Rifle - The ONLY weapon that can kill a perfect:
Rabbit
Iguana
Gila Monster
Armadillo
Turkey
Eagle
Hawk
Buzzard
Condor
Beaver
Muskrat
Skunk
Opossum
Badger
(did I miss any?)

And if you want to upgrade that Satchel - you'd better be buying a Varmint Rifle... like before you tame a lame-ass Arabian, take a bath or buy a new hat. It should be Job Number One.
