how do you only download the social club launcher?

god... i just wanna play this game...

ok so yesterday i deleted the files for social club, i should've deleted the social club in the documents folder. please help me. i tried to install it again, but still it didn't install the social club

Validating game files usually fixed the Rockstar launcher and when starting RDR2 any updates would apply.
Did you buy the full RR2 or just online special?

Download it again and run that installation file as administrator (right click on exe).

So what exactly is your current problem? You get some kind of error? Why you've deleted stuff in the first place?

Also, let R* use its default location or when it updates it won't update properly. I changed the location to program files x86 and I had trouble when it updated and had to delete and re-install.

When I downloaded the game from Steam - The Launcher came with it - or it was installed the first time I ran it.

I did NOT need to interact with the Launcher at all. It was installed and it even signed me in.

For me - it was idiotproof - and for me - that's a good thing to be.

Steam is 'Associated' with my R* SC Account - every game I buy from Steam is automatically associated properly, requiring no input from me at all.

When the game updated recently - the launcher got 2 updates, automatically - one the first day, and another the day after. Took about 15 seconds both times. I did nothing. It did what it needed to all by itself.

Have you tried checking C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Red Dead Redemption 2\Redistributables\ for Social-Club-Setup.exe

Also it fails to you install if you have Force Randomization for images (Mantory ASLR) enabled in security settings. Then it gives error like 0xc000007b.

its the cannot connect problem, cant remember exactly
