Then navigate to the game and see if the sound is muted or turned down there. If it isn't, then you really are in trouble. Try turning the sound up or checking to make sure that it isn't muted or set to zero from within the game. Good luck.
Additionally when you have downloaded the game, please make a backup for obvious reasons. You might be interested in knowing that the game in Documents > Rockstar Games > Red Dead Redemption 2 > has two folders, one of which is called Profile.
If you wish to save your settings for save games, that's where you'll find it, and the same is true of the key bindings. I posted a commentary elsewhere on the forum about fixing the broken Collector Role and that details this in much greater detail there.
go to Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2
Delete the whole file, but first your game need to be closed and also Socialclub is closed.
