Low frames on 3060 12G
No matter what I do, my frames just go from 30 FPS to 20 FPS I feel I should be able to run it fine even on low settings
Publicado originalmente por Sockwallet:
I upgraded from a 2060 to a 3070 and I have most settings on medium , textures and decals on high and I get about 60 fps. I tune game for 60 FPS in gunfights ect. RDR2 is the most GPU and CPU intensive game of all time IMO. I watched resource monitor when game was playing and wow 7.3 gig memory used at all times. I believe thats max usable on 8 gig PC. ( I have 16 gig 3400MHx ram). Fast ram makes difference , if your RAM is old or cheap get some fast ram and you will like the improvement. Every comp is different , play around and maybe watch some youtube vids on optimising this total beast of a game.

I have a 1060 3g (yes...) and found that the best outcome I have had is using the GeForce Experience optimised settings. Maybe start there?

I will try that thank you! Also, I upgraded just the other day, had a 1060 3GB for 4 years. I feel your pain. Took me forever to save up for this thing.

Hey.. I am also on the same GPU.. playing at 4K @ DLSS Quality.. Settings at Ultra~High and getting around 40 to 50 FPS.
It's hard to say what may be your problem.
Try to use MSI Afterburner and check CPU Usages as well as Temperature.
Also.. make sure you have inserted the card properly. Use GPU-Z stress test to find out. Make sure it's PCIE X16 3.0 or 4.0 based on your Motherboard.
Since the last update performance has taken a big hit across the board for all gpus.

To be honest. The game looks fantastic, even to day if you can crank the settings to max but it comes at a cost as this screenshot can tell you:

11,5GB of VRAM and 17GB of conventional RAM is pretty high.

Does anybody know a valid reason for the low frames on RTX3060TI?

I upgraded from an rx480 card and that seemed to run red dead 2 better than the 3060ti for some reason, ive even got more ram now and still worse performance its really bugging me

I run Ultra (Textures High+ even with only 4GB) on a 290X... whatever your issue is, it's not the GPU... especially not a 3060.
