selling weapons

I don't find any way to sell the weapons I got. I've bought a rifle by accident (is so easy to but things just trying to check what they are about).
I've seen around that it seems there's no way to sell weapons but I can't believe that there's no that option in such an amazing game like this one.
Is it true? Weapons can't being sold?

Thanks to all for your help. Very helpfull.
I'm not much into spending bullets for hunting cos at this point of the game I'm quite poor (that's why it pissed me off buying a gun by mistake), and running into animals is for free. When I try to hunt with the bow, I spend lots of arrows and still missing the animal.
I've seen there's a lot to learn in this game. Maybe it should be teachers or so XD
I'm taking it quietly, enjoying the views, and learning little by little.
But all your help i much appreciated.
