Tell me about your favorite horses (story/online)

Did you dash off to find the grey Arabian? Did you stick with the handsome black Shire? Did you come to the rescue of a decrepit Murfree mount? Even if you hate horses, you've got to spend 90% of the game staring at one's rump, so it'd better be one you like. Tell me about them! I'd like to see:
-Breed/color
-Name (even if it's just Glue or Roach)
-Where you got them
-What you like about them!
-A screenshot if you've got one

i have a few horses in online , Bitt, Badger and Thirteen , i try to treat them as real i do give them lots of attention and they are well cared for ,
one needs to remember these wonderful beasts get you out of trouble when needed it's really in ones own self-interest to treat them well keep them fed and use a good saddle ,
2 of the 3 are mustangs, good boys one and all

Black Arabian looks amazing, and fits my female online character with skinny body. Also, I love the fast handling of Arabian when riding through woods so I still use the white one in Story.

I have all the top role horses at lvl4 and both Arabians in Online tho, but I prefer the black arabian.

In singleplayer there is a person you may come across who is changing the shoe of a horse - you can get this horse and it has very good attributes ... This person you come across is NOT a question mark on the map simply someone you may run into early very early in the game

the horse i had in the story i got real early , i think it was a Turk (dont really remember the breed) that was a good horse , all i'm going to say is there was a lot of dust in the room during the last chapter, he was a good boy he gave his all for me , he was my companion and friend , thinking about him kinda makes the dust stir up ,
it really is a great game , i actually cared about my horse in story and still care about my horses in online , when i login and enter the game the first thing i do is take care of my horse, make sure he's well fed and brushed

I missed catching that one in that quest! I couldn't find it. Nice grab! Getting the Ferrari of horses in Chapter II is awesome!

Turk's a great one, seems like a great combo of speed and health. I like the race handling (seems like an unpopular opinion), too. Keeping the Braithwaite horse is a cool idea - nice to keep some spoils of war, especially with the unique brand!

Yeah, I know if you keep the cores high at least in story, they're less likely to throw you. My primary in storymode is a mustang, too. Not the highest stats, but she looks good (reminds me of a Kiger mustang) and I like the high stamina and high health for an all-arounder. I like how a horse with lower stats like her still works A+ with full-bonding and a good saddle.

The black Arabian is stunning - I like how the game made Arabians such a sensitive ride. Really a cool touch. They are irl in my experience, too. I

My friend used this horse for the entire storymode (under the name Buckshot)! Palomino dapple Standardbred, iirc. Great horse right off the bat, pretty good stats in early-game looks good too.

Yeah, clearly I love the horses too, clearly lol The devs did a great job with them, right down to the farts. Turk really is a nice breed, imo! I'll probably keep one as one of my four permanents in story.

lol, it's an important game mechanic. It's okay to not enjoy it, though, too! A bit of a screwball take, though, given how much time and thought the devs put into it.

LOL yeah, fair, @Neru. Mary Linton is a hilarious name for a horse. Could've ridden the namesake but no, he chose the outlaw life.

Is it there? Lol. In my place, we sometimes don't bother naming horses with people-like names (local/ethnical ones) which will make you go "wtf?!" ;). But a lot of times, real racing horse have English names e.g. Saliva Gold.

LOL yeah, I worked at three different horse-related workplaces in the US when I was younger (a hobby farm, a cattle ranch that also bred Quarter horses, and an English boarding stable), and every horse had a name. Or really, two names, their name on the papers (always something ridiculous like Sunshine Paperwasp) and their barn name, something like Gunner or Batman or Mocha (every US barn has at least one horse named Mocha and one dog named Bella).

It's funny to me because the name is kind of cutesy sounding in the original Polish, like Minnow or guppy, but it sounds much grittier in English!

Man, I've seen some bonkers stable names. There was one horse called just Chad, another called Squid, and one called Chicken Nugget. Weirdly, I've actually seen two Chicken Nuggets! The second was called McNugget more, though.

Still using Tiny the wonder shire. Just found out he was malnourished so had to feed him up a bit. Love his frailties, he seems to hate having coaches come up close behind him which lends realism to his character when he gets jittery and semi bolts. Then his timidity in the bayou is like an advance warning system against predators. The poor thing has never had his saddle removed yet but he never complains.
