Can't launch the game since update

if you have mods you wont be able to play unless you delete version.dll and d8input or whatever its called(will start the game without mods) you just gotta wait til scripthook is updated or give up

I deleted all gamefiles and reinstalled RDR2 in order to remove all SPmods and get a "clean" start. But still game ends with an error message after Rockstar Launcher tries to connect server.

Yo guys, I have been waiting to play RDR2 again for so long... WTF is going on? Can somebody PLEASE help me understand? What do I do, to launch the game?

Just a note: I have no mods, never had any. I did the update then restarted computer, then started game only update I saw load was the rock-star social thing which signed me in as usual, ( as you have to be signed in ) I also have never played online only in story mode. Game started as usual to my last save. I don't know or haven't seen any changes in game just been there a short time.

ran steam as admin. got in np. 0 mod 0 cheat.

restart and/or run steam in administrator mode (right click, run as admin)

but.. the lobby i got is bugged.

you shouldnt have to run steam as an admin , thats a red flag to me that something in your system is monkeyed up , did you check settings to see if the display state of your health reset to default ?

I downgraded my game and it works by the way. Just downloaded the previous versions of the installscript.vfs, rdr2.exe and playrdr2.exe files from steam depot, replaced them in the directory and all mods are working again. I will probably keep the game downgraded until the rare occasion that they patch SP with something useful.

I'm not going to spoonfeed you but I wrote down the basic steps and sent some guides in another thread in this same forum today. If you have about 30m you can figure it out it's not too hard

deleted all script files version.dll and dinput but game still wont start

if i uninstall and reinstall do I have to download the whole dang thing again? (by which time there'll probably be a new scripthook out anyway lol)

Guys this recent update broke LML game only launch if you delete vsf file.
