Windows 7 not supported error

When i try to launch the game it says "Windows 7 alert this version of windows is no longer supported" I don't even have windows 7 I run on windows 10

Answer: With the end of official support for Windows 7 from Microsoft and others, Red Dead Redemption 2 on Windows 7 is no longer supported. We recommend that players upgrade their operating system to at least the April 2018 Update (v1803) version of Windows 10 to avoid potential performance and stability issues.

I am using windows 10 the problem was i was running steam in windows 7 compatability mode for some unknown reason
