Two-Year-Long Saved Custom Outfits Bug?

People have been reporting the various bugs around saving custom outfits since 2019, and the official answer is still "we are investigating this possible issue. Stay tuned."

It's not a possible issue. It's real. It's on both the PS and PC versions of the game, and it's very frustrating.

1. Every time you buy a new clothes item, all of the outfits saved on your horse get screwed up, if not deleted.

2. At around the start of Act 3, you can no longer save four custom outfits. You can save "Custom Outfit One," "Custom Outfit Two," and "Custom Outfit Four." For some reason, "Custom Outfit Three" is no longer a thing that exists in the RDR2 universe. When saving custom outfits, it goes from two to four, and there is no three.

3. Eventually, another number vanishes into the ether, and you'll only be able to save two custom outfits. Then another number will vanish. And then another. And you won't be able to save custom outfits at all.

Again, this has been an issue, known to the community since the game launched. Players have been reporting it to Rockstar and to Steam, and for TWO YEARS, nothing's been done about it.

I'd like to know why, and when we can expect a fix.

Having this issue, outfit one and two are gone....how sad this is still a thing :/

I had outfit issues when we got to Rhodes and got the badge. I had to re-do all my custom outfits... and now they all had the badge.

After that there were no more disappearing outfits, and sometime before the Rhodes Deputy phase ended, the badge went away by itself.

Since then, no issues - except if you equip an outfit at camp or Hotel - the outfit you were wearing doesn't go back on the horse. That's dumb, but I've gotten used to it now. Equip a new outfit, put the old one back on the horse.

This summarizes my perspective - the bug has been around since the beginning (i started playing in 2020), and after playing for well over 1500 hours, i have "gotten used to it".

i agree it sucks, and i would like it to be fixed, but I don't expect this bug will ever be fixed.

As a note, some of us have noticed that if you leave one slot open on your horse, this bug happens less frequently.

As another note, putting on your Mask/Bandana will also change your current outfit, just like buying clothes - so just like when buying clothes, be aware and expect you'll need to reset ur clothing.

This "feature" bothers me way more than the occasional need to reset my clothing.

The worst for me is in the Epilogue when dealing with the Bear attack...

Well, at least now I know it's a bug. First hours I played and this loadout-error happened I thought I was doing something wrong.

Really annoying.

Disappearing of pelts on horseback, or not being able to sell or donate them, inexplicably happens to me sometimes too.

Also annoying.

Necro AF but you still having this? My outfits are a nightmare, makes me lose the will to play when I've sunk so much time into hunting and outfit collecting.

its what happends when selling sharkcards and goldbars proofs to be more profitable then making and fixing singleplayer content. I have zero faith in gta6 for this very reason..
