Lending a Hand percentage
I'm paranoid I'm not advancing this achievement. I was at 20% at the end of chapter 2, which I hope makes sense for doing all the necessary honor missions. But I then did the debt collection mission in chapter 3 and my percentage did not raise up from 20%. So I reloaded a previous save and then did it again, but it still didn't go up. I don't want to advance in the story and waste time if I'm missing something.

Only posting here for posterity just in case it helps someone who was/is in the situation I described above. After much searching, I found info in comments here trueachievements.com/viewcomment.aspx?commentid=1223310#sc1223310 that helped a lot to understand.

In that thread there are multiple people saying the same thing I was saying, but saying that the percentage actually does go up once entire mission strands are finished. Apparently, for example, you don't get a percentage boost from a money lending mission until you have finished ALL of the money lending missions in the game; then you get the boost for all of them.

So that the percentages (apparently) at the END of the chapters (if done correctly) are apparently:
Chapter 2 - 20%
Chapter 3 - 20%
Chapter 4 - 40%
Chapter 5 - 40%
Chapter 6 - 100%.

I'm still in chapter 4 (early) and I'm at 20% still, so I'm hoping this is correct and that by the end of chapter 4 I will be at 40%, because of the "help a brother out" and the Mary missions.

I will come back and revise these comments if this does not work for me. Again, hopefully this makes it easier for someone in the future in the same situation since Rockstar/Steam make this achievement difficult and confusing to track for those who care.

If you beat the game and somehow miss this achievement you can cheat it in if that makes you feel any better. Seriously who cares about achievements. They don't do anything worth-while.

At least if you missed getting gold medal on missions so you can get the 70 gold on story missions achievement. You can go to those in player progress and replay them. What's also nice is you get to replay them with what current player stats and weapons you have which helps greatly.

... and it's not all that popular judging by user comment.

The Best Way to Gold a Mission is to make a Save Before - check after - if not Gold, Reload and go again (if it matters to you) or 'Abandon' the mission from the Log Details and pick it up where it started to go South. At least from your save point you get to wear your favorite Tunic and use whatever stats you bring to the table. You won't have that luxury in a Mission Replay.

A lot of people care about achievements. Some don't. I'm not offended by those who don't care about them.

That's exactly what I do. Save before every one then just keep repeating if needed till I get gold. Your name looks familiar to me from Plex....Btw, the link you shared iin the very first response to this thread contained a thread at the bottom that helped me to answer my problem. I didn't realize it at first because didn't dig that deep at the time. So thank you.

You're welcome.

Yea, I don't care about the achievements, but there are some missions I should get Gold, but don't for some reason (probably 'cause I didn't check the requirements or run and leap off the river boat in 35 seconds after getting 5 headshots) and in that case a reload comes in handy - right then - before I get any further.

So how did it end for you? I can see that you have 100% in rdr2
Im worried about the same thing. There is the same 20% in chapter 4
The problem is that i completed 2 missions(all apparently) assosiated with brother in saint denis but still 20%
