Worth it for single player only?
I'm not interested in red dead online as I've read very bad reviews of it and I already play hunt showdown as a pvp western game. Should I get this?

Online is exactly what you'd expect - not many RDR2 Fans, but Plenty of RDR2 Cheaters... They play with themselves (until somebody shows up) - then they ruin your game until you quit - then go back to playing with themselves.

Sadly, this description of the online experience is 100% accurate for people playing in the North American West Coast sessions during the evening. :/

Rockstar never stopped the cheating in GTA Online, so it’s doubtful they’ll ever stop it in Red Dead Online. :(

In my opinion, yes.

I don't really like cowboys or western games, I was like "im just gonna try this" but ohhh boy the story is so good and can't help myself playing everyday, I was hooked.

buy the game for single player man its worth it, multiplayer is meh
thanks everyone for the feedback, I'll take it into account

This game was 8 years in development, the single player is really worth it because you go on a special journey.

One of the best single players games created.

I am praying that they redo RDR1 into this engine and rerelease it.

Like Dutch Says:
Kill thems that need killin'
Help thems that need helpin'
Feed thems that need feedin'

It ain't too hard to find a category that everyone fits into.
I wish I could kill Dutch

I've seen plenty of videos featuring GTAO trolling, so I'll assume it's no different with RDO. I'm loving the heck out of playing RDR2 alone, and I don't intend on quitting until I get 100% completion.

i seem to have more probs with finding out where the checkpoints are in the story mode, i keep having to start the story over and over since i dont quite make it to a checkpoint to log back into. Wish there was a remedy for that. Just takes me so long to keep up with whats going on at this point and when i have to log off or do something else i end up losing everything and having to start over ea time. Im still trying to get through chap 1 lol.

$40 USD is well worth it even if just for the Story Mode alone.

... and his little budddy Micah, but there is this:
At Lakay, when you mount the Gatling Gun - aim at Micah's Head and give him 100 rounds.
It won't even knock his hat off, but it does feel good...lol

Create MANUAL saves before you begin something. Like Stranger encounters and Story Missions <--- you can't save while in a mission <---you will get a 'checkpoint' at some point, but you never know where and you have to die/fail to get back to it.

Occasionally create NEW MANUAL SAVES in blank spots, so you'll have something to fall back on if/when something goes horribly awry.

DO NOT rely on autosave. It blows to high heaven.

I'm in my 4th playthrough, have over 1300 hours in single player only.

Epic Game. So many ways to play the open world game, to get to the Story Missions - so you can get back to living in the world.

The satchel and camp are done (stumbled on a 2 star moose early - a miracle). Just got Sean out of Blackwater, so perhaps a 1/4 way into Chapter 2, give or take. Micah can rot - for as long as possible.

Just started Gambler - so camp won't see much of me for about a month game time. I have a load of meat to take them and I hope they can make do..lol
Oh Man!I can't believe that 1300hours?But,thank you man,i have interest to play single when i saw your told.I'm going to play as a beginner LoL

it seems like you need red dead online to get all the achievements though, am I right?
