Technically this is Red Dead 3 but I get what you mean. It will probably happen but will be years away. GTA has been stuck at 5 for nearly a decade due to how much money GTA Online makes. RDO might do the same for RD plus, they said they will be doing smaller projects.

maybe, one thing for sure that's going to take a very very long time, maybe a decade??. But what i fear the most is the quality, look at what they did to the trilogy, and one more thing, Dan Houser left, he was the head of all GTA and RDR series.

Maybe, but I don't see it happening really. With the movement of GTA 6 being more multiplayer focused and writers leaving alongside notable people, I don't see Red Dead having a proper sequel any time soon.

With GTA 6 being more MP, RDR will likely follow suit so I guess both franchises are dead to me. R.I.P.

It would be foolish $ wise to R* to make a GTA without a great story mode.
When it came to doing the story for GTAV and RDR2 it took around 10 years for each game and the script and actors, it had the budget of a very good hollywood movie. Plus the story mode of GTAV is really what made the game sell so well and make over $1 Billion USD

I would like to see GTA6 be designed to where all the GTA cities are included. Maybe a game map similar to how the USA map is in the game; The Crew

I'd also like to see the character selection for story return to GTA6, but having maybe 4 characters, one of which being female.

Red Dead 4 is pretty much a no brainer, they won't ditch a strong IP.

however, I don't expect another "Redemtion" game and I'm worried about the Story/Design without Dan Houser as Game Director. same goes for the next GTA game.

If RDR 3 is like 2 in it's online i hope they stop making games, terrible online gameplay that has been super nerfed for gold bars.

You can spend 1000 hours in this online game and still be a poor toothless miner.

RDR was more about coop, i really pity people that never got to try it on xbox 360, remember the ps4 community is a faaaaaaaaaar cry from the one on xbox360, terrible online play on the ps4, i was really surprised how toxic it was.

Then i powered up my xbox 360 and guess what, same old community that is more friendly.

I completely agree friend, is why they nerfed everything in rdr online for gold bars, it's really not fun anymore. They dug themselves a hole being too greedy and i can only smile seeing karma doing her thing.

People that give into their weakness and buy gold bars, you people have ensured Rockstar will do this in any game now.

RDR2 is the 12th best selling game in literal history.

Yeah, there's gonna be an RDR3. Anyone saying anything else is just a pointless waste of time in the shape of a human.

And likely in less than 10 years. RDR1 came out in 2010, RDR2 came out 8 years laterwith the expectation of doing as well as RDR1. Instead it made several times better than it. Considering that 3 years have already gone and the fact that it made so incredibly well being an incentive to focus more resources towards RDR3, I wouldn't be surprised if its development is speeded up. At the very least, a qualified guess is that we're at least halfway there to RDR3.
