I dont know about playing offline though.
Apart from the occasional griefer on a bull that rammed you :-)
I seem to be stalked recently by a whitetail buck that comes out of nowhere and is playing Bowling with Arthur - and wins...lol
Trouble is it's always a poor one, 1 or 2 stars. Odd.
Anyway - the only thing you should do is keep the camp fed, upgraded and in 'Yellow Level' supply - otherwise Dutch and Grimshaw complain about you not carrying your weight. Not that it matters, but it's irritating.
I never donate large chunks of cash to the camp funds - apart from the camp upgrades, but a good tip is to share all that loot, gold bars and proceeds from your travels in small bits every time you come back to camp. That rings a louder bell in the honor department. I always give $20-$25 bucks.
Also don't come back to camp without meat. An entire 3 star carcass is a great thing to bring home - and all the extra meats you're not going to cook for yourself. I generally sell 3 star pelts, feathers and parts to the butcher or trapper - and if you locate pockets of Steelhead you can catch like Popeye, one of those brings over $5 at the trapper or butcher in St. Denis. Roll in there with 30 on the truck and that's a hunk of change. A perfect Alligator in Strawberry also brings a nice return. That stuff should fund your camp donations rather handily - and then some.
I resupply the camp a couple times a week. That's usually plenty.
I recently sat at the dam Blackjack table in Rhodes for 10 in game days straight - and when that nightmare was over I ran home to find them still in Yellow Supply... I needn't had worried...lol
I just started Chapter 6, have $10,000+ and haven't even gotten the two super-duper treasures yet. I've purchased every weapon available to buy, 2 of every sidearm, didn't bother looking for the free ones, but did pick up the uniques.
Crime doesn't always pay, but hunting and fishing does...lol
Right around the camps you'll find pockets of wildlife. Knock down every poor animal you see, then when they respawn there will be a higher percentage of perfect ones and you won't need to travel to get 'em.
Regarding honor:
I used to wipe out entire flocks of Canada Geese and have them fall in a v pattern at my feet, and then wondered why I lost honor. The game thinks you're just killing to kill. 3 or 4 at a time, harvest and go again.
Here's a good one - any time you run onto a Klan Meeting, kill and loot everyone. You gain honor for performing a public service...lol You don't gain or lose honor for wiping out thousands of O'Driscolls, Raiders, or The Brood, but kill some Klan and ring the honor bell.
As temping as it is - don't loot non-combatant strangers, like the ones The Brood has killed. Loot the brood, resist the urge to loot their victims. I know it'll be tough...lol
