Epilogue Saving Issue

I started the Epilogue with John Marston a few hours ago. Realised I couldn't save but it had been hours and I didn't want to play anymore so I quit. And now it I have to do it all over again which I am not doing. Surely this isn't my fault? This issue has completely overhauled my view that this game is a masterpiece. Why the hell wouldn't you be able to save between hours and hours of content. What an absolute shame.

And what were you doing through those hours? Game kinda has auto save between missions and such as well.

It didn't let me save. I went through it again and again it didn't let me save. It only let me save after I got that stupid house for my stupid wife.
