Greeting NPCs

This is a bit off the wall, but now that I've finished the story I find myself with time to think about the minor, off the wall stuff LOL

So when I'm riding my horse, and I right click to bring up the menu to greet someone, my horse veers toward them. Has resulted in collisions on occasion. I have tried a couple of key assignments with no luck. Does anyone have a key assignment theme they found that gives a better way to greet without turning the horse?

The veering towrds someone on ur horse is becuz you have set the horse direction to be controlled by camera angle - so, when you greet someone, the camera angle changes, thus ur horse moves.

In Settings > Controls > Keyboard & Mouse >, set "Keyboard and Mouse Horse Control" and "Keyboard and Mouse Horse Control whilst Aiming" to "Horse Relative"

It takes a while to get used to always steering ur horse manually, but you will eventually have a MUCH saner horse and more expected horse behavior.

This will allow you to greet someone without the horse turning.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the info; I figured there must be a way. I'll get used to steering like a boat or wagon. Unless I don't, then I'll go back to the other LOL.
