Why is the mission where you help Black & White repeatable?
I completed this mission as Arthur and just found it again as John. The one where to get the 5 posters and then burn them for them. Doesn't really make sense that you can repeat this quest. Any reason why? I expected that after helping them as Arthur I'd find them again years later still together, still bickering or something.

I only did that poster part once. Helped burn the posters. After that I came across their next two unique encounters down the line.

The reason is that you probably didn't finish the last encounter in the woods where they are arguing on a tree. I believe all unfinished quest lines are reset when playing as John because he technically doesn't know about them.

Yes, there are several encounters with Black and White - the last one being at a house on stilts. If not completed it happens again from the start.

If you don't meet Charlotte at least twice as Arthur - she dead.
If you do enough of Charlotte with Arthur to teach her to hunt - you can complete with John. Black and White isn't like Charlotte in that regard.

I finished Charlotte's questline as Arthur.

Yeah, well they must not be easy to find if I never ran into them again.

Interestingly "Oh, Brother" quest line can be left partially completed and resumed as John, and John will not even introduce himself he will just do the quest as if he knew them from the beginning. I have a hunch it's intended to reset and they forget to tag it as such. Regardless, saved me from having to repeat a bunch of stuff.

This mission killed my immersion for this exact reason, why would it be replayable with the same scenario 2 years later? Wouldn't it be better if it disappeared all together? It would be way more sensible and realistic to me.

I completed the mission in 1899 with Arthur.

It never appeared for John.

Suppose it would be but then you would have accidentally missed out on content.
