They removed EXP grinding from Thieves Landing and Van Horn
gg, no after you kill a few bandits you get 0 exp. Not even for special ammo used or dead eye.

Nice.. what a sad state

Of course Rockstar removed it.

If they kept it in the game players would be able to level their characters at a reasonable rate, which may accidentally result in the players having some fun.

If there’s one thing this game needed it was definitely a longer grind.

Next they just need to nerf the money you make from trading, collecting, and moonshining and then the game will be complete.

gg indeed. :(

Call to Arms, that’s the mode where Rockstar placed an arbitrary 45 minute cooldown between matches, correct?

Because Heaven forbid players would be allowed to enjoy a fun & challenging co-op experience back-to-back?

At least they didn’t phone-in the match making experience by tying it to something like the telegrams system rather than building a proper multiplayer game-lobby for it.

Oh wait...

:/

(lol, sorry, I’m being especially bitter today.)

lol, I’m still trying to enjoy the game. :/

But between the rampant cheating, no dialog between players (proximity text chat would help this), and anti-player decisions Rockstar keeps making (like what’s highlighted in this thread), I find myself garnering more frustration towards this game than enjoyment. :(

*Shrugs* Maybe I’m being too critical.

You can bypass the cool down with a friend, just alternate posses and if you both are on cooldown, bounty missions can pass the time. That's what my bf and I usually do.

Aye, me and a friend do the same thing. ;)

But seriously, because you can “cheat” this cool-down mechanic with a friend, why have it at all? It’s just an anti-player mechanic that serves no purpose other than to frustrate RDO’s player base. >:/

(Well, it also ensures a low player-count in the Call to Arms mode because many players are stuck on this "cool-down." Augh! This serves NO ONE!)

There’s a lot of these anti-player mechanics sprinkled throughout the game. Like Capitale, why isn’t it just awarded to everyone at the end of criminal missions? Instead you have to hunt for it, and the more players there are in your posse the less Capitale there is to split with everyone.

There’s so many terrible game design choices in RDO that all seem geared towards wasting the user’s time and hindering their progress. @_@

Rockstar! Please worry less about monetizing your players and more about making the game ACTUALLY FUN AND ENJOYABLE TO PLAY!!!

Is it any wonder this poor game continues to lose players?
*Sigh* sorry. . . [/rant]
