Controller not detected....
I'm still getting no input from my controllers (PS4, XBOX One) when plugging them in, before start, after start, while on gameplay, etc., is there a known workaround for this issue? Really don't think KBM is a good option to play this game...

KBM will actually give you a better experience overall. like it is with any game where theres guns, your aim is preciser. i played the game on ps4 and i honestly didnt enjoy it because of the controller

Disable xbox/ps4 support in steam general controller settings. Game natively supports xbox and ps4 controllers itself.
Or right click game in library, properties and set steam input to forced off.

I use KBM on every game but this TPS style of games (mass effect, the witcher, rdr, etc.), I totally agree on precision.

Did that several times, sometimes it works, most of the times it doesn't, but thanks for the advice!

Guys, I have found one more solution. It helped me for the xbox one controller.
1)Go into the Big Picture;
2)In the library, select RDR2 and go to "Manage shortcut";
3) Then go to "Controller Options" and disable the "Allow desktop Configuration in Launcher" checkbox;
Then click play and it's done.
P.s: two small details:
*In the main controller settings, I have the "Xbox Settings" checkbox;
*this can be done even if rdr2 is not purchased through Steam, just add it to the steam library as a non-steam game;

This worked for me. Thanks a lot!! I just had to also switch to "Full Screen" in game instead of "borderless window performance"

OMG this is sooo helpful!!! my boyfriend was going crazy about RDR2 not accepting his PS5 Controller, but now he's happy (even said he's wanting to marry me XD)
