How to track a Bounty?

Hi all,

I have taken a couple of bounty's from the board outside of the sheriff's office and sometimes they run off while im fighting there gang. How do i track them after they run off?

Some of the times i dont spot them running off and after i kill all there gang the game tells me to chase after them before they get away but it does not tell me where they ran off to.

Is there away to track them?
