How to link steam account to social club? (currently downloading RDR 2)
When I log into rockstar social club online, there is no option to link to steam. Will the accounts automatically link once the game is opened? Note that I have the rockstar social club app as well.

It's done through Social Club :

Account - Settings - Linked accounts

edited : Steam as linked account for me, with a button to "unlink"

Yes, I also have no Steam to link in second account I created so Rockstar upper level support can move version bought from them there.

At the moment all is messed up (I bought the game twice...)

Open a ticket, give proof of purchase, make screenshot of full screen showing steam account and game transaction. (That took one day approx., they transferred case to up lvl then. I'm waiting since Dec. 6th. Nothing moves.)

If the game is downloading, I think (oops... hope) everything will be OK.

Hey man did you ever get any help??

@Andrex DO NOT START THE GAME THROUGH STEAM, IT WILL LINK YOU TO A OLD ACCOUNT YOU HAVE ON ROCKSTAR AND WILL BE LOCKED OUT OF PLAYING THE GAME.

xxx account "stolen from STEAM" by Rockstar ?
I'm really impressed that launching Red Dead Online from my Steam account messed with previous installation bought 1 month ago directly from you... What a shame.
In your game launcher, GTA V says correctly "JOUER SUR STEAM", why not Red Dead Redemption 2.
Now that I finally own a RDR2 copy on Steam, I want to restart fresh with this version.
The one I bought from you will be used on a second computer for testing things.
I won't be your customer if I have to choose, I'm a Steam customer since years and this will not change.
Really tired of all the problems with this game and USER INTERFACE (try playing it with keyboard and mouse for a minute !)

Start Rockstar launcher with account you want to use. Then start the game through steam, it will automatically ask you to link, thats it.
