Why would you want to throw your weapons away?

Major oversight but there isn't its really weird.

When I have the rare variant or 2 of the same weapons.
Gets annoying constantly cycling through all my weapons.
Maybe have something in camp to set active weapons like you do with outfits.

in RDO you can buy a weapon storage for the camp and place weapons in it so they don't show up on the saddle.

Ah. Fair enough. Well there should be an option where you can sell your weapons to the gunsmith.

(Online) Yes, at gunsmith you can "use catalog" and "customize weapons" and place your weapons on back, shoulder, hands as in the weapons locker at camp.

I would like to get rid of objects like binoculars or lasso once I got better ones.

I don't think there has ever been a R* game where you could drop your weapon.

If you have all of your weapon slots filled with weapons, and you pick up a weapon, then the game makes you drop one of your weapons, at which point, I believe that you lose it. I had a problem with this on an early mission where you pick up a shotgun from a fireplace before looking inside the fireplace, and I had to call my horse in so that I could put one of my weapons on it again to avoid losing it when I picked up the shotgun. So, you could probably ditch a weapon by picking up any weapon next to a body, but since you'd then be swapping weapons, I don't think that you can actually reduce the number of weapons that you have, just get rid of specific weapons.

You keep weapons you drop, they're just on your horse. So if you had gone back to your horse, you would have seen the one you dropped on the ground still on it. Once you've got a weapon, it never leaves your saddle, except the worn ones seem to be replaced by standard ones when you pick them up.
