Is Online worth it? A fun experience?
If I do try out online ever it will really just be by myself without playing with others.
Thoughts?

I've heard it is really grindy and there are other better MP experiences out there in the world. Time is such a precious thing so it's good to know.

From my understanding all of the single player things are just easier to get and the experience is the same without the added online content (assuming you're not playing with friends etc)

Yes it is fun, I recommend playing with friends though. But you should play Story first so you know how to play the game affectively.

Would you play it if you didn't play with friends?

I would. It's what i'd expect if witcher 3 had multiplayer. You roam around doing your own thing and most things can be done solo.

It's okay. I played to around rank 160 on PS4... played the damn sh!t out of it actually. Coming to PC I've noticed some changes.. haven't played console in sometime to be honest... A couple new gamemodes... But when it boils down to it all I want to do is do the overland content...

Races? People don't race they stand and walk in circles. Just like console. Easy XP I guess? Waste of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.

Hostile Territory... Make it Count... Most Wanted... Name Your Weapon... Lame... and lame. Actually pretty much most PVP related trash is lame. Gets old fast I guess. Maybe a bit better in the Free Aim world but I dunno it didn't appeal for very long. Pretty much didn't like any of the PVP sh!t but people are different you may just eat that right up.

Running around in Free-roam with a friend or solo is great fun...Truly where I spent the most of my time. Treasure hunting. Gang Hideouts. Hunting and fishing... it's great! aside from the randoms who just try to rope you for no reason... You'll only waste resources on fighting these people. Just leave find a new session continue making money and enjoy what you were doing. Yeah is good fun give it go.

Only going to get better with mods.

You can hop right into online mode without even touching the story, both modes teach you how to play the game, I been having more fun online than singleplayer mode, it's fun solo and with a friend.

It's quite alot of fun, except the random disconnecting with the (in)famous error code 20010006 which has been haunting red dead online since its beta launch :steammocking:

after playing it for a while i can tell you its going to be boring "fast". pvp is "not existent" so at the end, after you have explored the map, you will do the same few missions over and over again. there is no excitement at all because you cant really lose anything. if you spend x amount of time you will get x amount of money so you can buy a new hat. wow. the most boring multiplayer concept i have ever seen. i have bought it for the multiplayer, but it sucks. too bad.

Yeah but it’s better to play solo in my opionion if you prefer immersion. So basically it’s a sp experience with coop elements

From my understanding; there is a serious grind to multiplayer that demands many many many hours to achieve items, levels, horses... you name it. Likewise, the experience overall seems to remain pretty consistent.

Maybe its a fun way to mess around with friends; but the best experience seems to commonly be agreed upon: the multiplayer.

Not really if you know how to make money it’s not a problem and sure there is a grind involved to keep you playing. The question is if you enjoy the grind.....i do

If you could acquire everything quickly and easily then it wouldnt be much of an experience would it.
