The game deleted itself
I played for about an hour, closed and opened it some times without a problem but after I restarted my PC and unlocked the bitlocker encrypted partition where the game is located the folders were empty.
I closed the game via the menu, not alt+f4.

Tried to recover it with some tool I found. It found most of the files but the important ones were all corrupted.
Fix this, this is a no-go with an 100+ GB game.

Best guess is Steam started up, Partion was still bitlocked, Steam couldn't access the Directory and marked it as gone.

And just for my curiosity, from all the stuff you could hide behind a bitlocker why your Games Part....nevermind i think i understand....Yarrrrrr

I just discovered that some of my fudgy brownies are missing. I suspect RDR2 is responsible.

Not exactly, usually it's just marked as not installed. btw it's a common problem more or less.

That I knew, but I never had a game not be recognize after choosing my steamlibrary let alone delete the whole game.
I'm not bad with computers, I didn't have explorer open before I restarted the PC, and I sure didn't accidentally get into the directory and just marked everything and shift+deleted the whole content of the folder.

They had a similar bug in the xbox release

Yeah tried that after recovering the data wasn't possible, sadly to no avail. Currently redownloading it and making a backup just to be sure.
